Bonny National Grammar School wins 2022 Nlng Science Quiz Competition

The 2022 Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Grand Finale came to an end with Seven (7) Schools in the Final.

The Bonny National Grammar School was the winner of the Competition as Enitonna High School came 2nd,
Niger-Delta Science School, 3rd place.

Others include, Okrika National Secondary School, 7th Position, Community Secondary School, Kiran, 6th Position, Government Secondary School, Eneka 5th Position, Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Obio-Apkor 4th position.

Nigeria LNG General Manager, External Relations and Sustainble Development, Andy Odeh said in his welcome address that the goal of the competition was to inspire healthy competition as well as interest in science and technology amongst youths.

“As part of its education interventions, NLNG has partnered with the Rivers State Ministry of Education and the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) to organize annual science quizzes, debates and essay competitions for students in public schools”

“I hope that the participating schools, and their students, would take on every aspect of the NLNG Science Quiz Competition, for a place of honour in their hearts, and in the development of the future that they would create.” He said.

Also Speaking is the Honourable Commissioner of Education, Rivers State, Prof. Chinese Mmom, stated that his presence at the quiz was to honour children who are participating in the competition. He said the quiz was an appreciation of science and technology.

Amongst others, is Mr Peter Nwagor, Chairman, STAN, Rivers State who commended Nigeria lng for investing in education and the development of science and technology.
